Meet the SRCH Team
Dr. Nicole Baran BSc, DVM
Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Dr. Nicole enjoys living in Northern Ontario and is happy to offer feline care in Sudbury.
Dr. Nicole received her BSc in Biology at Lakehead University before completing her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph in 2008.
Dr. Nicole has a special interest in feline dentistry, internal medicine, nutrition, wildlife & turtle shell repair. She enjoys a loving home with her husband, Jeffrey, many felines and a clever lab named Tesla.
Brooke - Veterinary Technician
Brooke graduated from Collège Boréal’s Veterinary Technician program and currently working towards her registration.
Brooke is from Chelmsford, Ontario and was raised by her amazing grandmother. Outside of work, she spends much of her time volunteering with low-income veterinary clinics, shelters, and Turtle Pond Wildlife Centre.
She has two cats, Ivy and Juni, two lizards, Bailey and Beau, and many other small rescue animals.
Brooke has a special interest in feline medicine, exotic animals, and wildlife. She's also very interested in emergency and critical care.
Michelle - Registered Veterinary Technician
Michelle is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with nearly three decades of experience in veterinary medicine. She graduated from St. Clair College in 1998 and relocated to Sudbury in 2000, where she has continued to work in small animal medicine.
While Michelle enjoys working with all furry patients, she has a particularly special bond with cats. She finds great joy in being part of the team at Sudbury Regional Cat Hospital, where she brings her extensive hands-on experience and a wealth of practical knowledge to her work with our feline patients.
Michelle is also interested in continuing to expand her knowledge in areas such as animal massage and feline bodywork, which complement her interest in supporting the comfort and mobility of senior and recovering patients.
Riley - Veterinary Assistant
Kelsey - Receptionist
A friendly face at the front desk, who brings compassion, patience, and warmth to every interaction and who enjoys helping both cats and their humans feel supported and at ease.
At home, she’s a proud mom to two kids and three dogs. Caring for both animals and families comes naturally to her, and she deeply understands the bond people share with their pets.
She takes pride in being a steady, reassuring presence, helping pet parents feel supported while making sure every cat feels safe, respected and loved throughout their visit.
Jeffrey - Hospital Attendant & IT Support
After a career in the military and another as a computer Engineer, Jeffrey is now living out his dream (after reading All Creatures Great and Small, by James Herriot) of working in a veterinary hospital with his best friend & wife.
Outside of work, Jeffrey enjoys playing frisbee and tug-of-war with their lab, Tesla, and loving and caring for the other animals in their home.
With warmth and compassion, Jeffrey attendants to patient and client needs, and you may find him offering you a cup of tea or playing a tune on the harmonica.
McKenna - Veterinary Attendant
Dr Morag Maskery DVM
Dr Morag is our cherished locum vet whom you may have the pleasure of seeing. She enjoys meeting clients and providing veterinary care for our patients.
